If, at any time, anyone in the surrounding communities is concerned about testing at Aberdeen Proving Ground, they are encouraged to contact the installation at 41. APG leadership takes noise complaints very seriously and wants to provide as much transparency as possible to the surrounding communities without compromising the security of the missions conducted here. To ensure we minimize the impact to our neighbors, we monitor the weather and the noise readings continuously throughout each day. Organizations on APG take every measure to mitigate instances when training or testing becomes problematic to residents off the installation. These operations are not hazardous to residents in our surrounding communities and are integral to ensuring continued readiness of service members. The patrols can be contacted on VHF Marine Band Radio Channel 68 for more information during closures. Army patrol boats will grant periodic breaks for transit traffic in and out of the Bush River area. A portion of APG restricted waterways are scheduled to be closed to recreational traffic, including from Bush River buoy number 5 to the APG reservation line in the Chesapeake Bay. Noise may be heard in some areas off the installation. APG has daytime and nighttime firing scheduled for July 12, 2021, approximately 8:30 a.m. Aberdeen Police Department - APG daytime and nighttime testing includes waterway closures ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, Md.
